Dr. Joan Bragar coaches CEOs and executives in small to midsize companies to lead for results.
Her recent clients have included companies in early stage biotech, small manufacturing, advertising, and real estate development.

She has over twenty-five years experience coaching executives and designing leadership development programs that support organizations to produce results in the private and public sectors around the world.

At Arthur D. Little, Inc. she was the Director of their Learning for Leadership Executive Education program. She coached members of executive teams at Mellon Bank, Equitable Insurance, LG Group, and United Technologies (UTC) to align their organizations around results.

She was recruited by USAID to be the Director of Leadership Development for Management Sciences for Health. In this role she taught leadership in business schools, medical schools, and ministries of health across Africa and the Middle East. The Leadership Development Programs he designed has been delivered in more than 45 countries. Teams in that program improved health outcomes, including reductions in maternal mortality in some areas.

Dr. Bragar has also coached and taught courses on leadership at Babson Graduate School of Business, Boston University, and Hult University.

Her research at Harvard was on the practices of high-performing managers who lead well. She used these practices to design leadership assessments and programs at The Forum Corporation, a global training firm.

She is the author of Leading for Results, Five Practices to Use in your Personal and Professional Life. She is also the lead author of an award-winning book, Managers Who Lead, A Handbook for Improving Health Services.
